Description

Karl Fischer Moisture Analysis for Solid and Powdered Samples (EV-2000)

Accurate Moisture Analysis for Solid and Powdered Materials

The EV-2000 solid evaporator enables precise moisture determination in solid and powdered samples using Karl Fischer titration. It is designed for materials that are not directly soluble in Karl Fischer reagents or that require controlled heating to release bound moisture.

This makes it ideal for applications in lithium-ion battery materials, pharmaceuticals, polymers, and inorganic powders where accurate moisture analysis is critical.

Applications in Battery Materials

The EV-2000 is widely used for moisture determination in lithium-ion battery materials, including:

  • Cathode powders (NMC, LFP, NCA)

  • Graphite anode materials

  • Solid-state and ceramic materials

  • Electrode components and precursors

  •

    Advanced High-Temperature Configurations

For advanced materials, modified EV-2000 configurations can be used for high-temperature moisture analysis beyond standard operating ranges.

    These configurations enable:

    • Improved moisture recovery from dense materials

    • Enhanced analysis of ceramic and solid-state systems

    • More accurate residual moisture determination

Features

Heating temperature

Efficiently vaporizes the moisture in solid and powdered samples. (*Samples which generate moisture through decomposition by heat such as sodium bicarbonate and samples which emit substances that react with Karl Fischer reagent cannot be measured.)

Simple setting of measurement conditions

Using an interface connection with the moisture measurement device it is easy to set conditions for the sample with a measurement sequence settings file installed in the moisture measurement device (including heating temperature conditions).

EV-2000 Solid Sample Evaporator

The EV-2000 is a precision solid sample evaporator designed for Karl Fischer moisture analysis. It allows for efficient evaporation of moisture from solid or semi-solid samples without decomposition, delivering accurate results for trace water content.

Ideal for labs that test powders, tablets, resins, and food samples, the EV-2000 is compatible with both coulometric and volumetric Karl Fischer titrators.

🔍 Key Features:

  • Compatible with most Karl Fischer titrators (coulometric & volumetric)

  • Controlled temperature range: ambient to 300°C

  • Moisture transfer by dry carrier gas to the titration cell

  • No sample degradation due to indirect heating

  • Easy operation and compact design

  • Low maintenance, lab bench-friendly

🧪 Ideal Applications:

  • Pharmaceuticals (tablets, capsules)

  • Resins, polymers, powders

  • Food products

  • Plastics and packaging materials

  • Inorganic and metal oxides
